Itzhak Perlman plays the Four Seasons like no other violinist. The clarity and tone indicate a master violinist but the emotion and passion convey a sense of a message.

If you are looking for a great recording of the Four Seasons, pick this one up right away, as you will find the other violin concertos to be extremely enjoyable and well played.

It is a great staple recording to have.

Ok, Amazons practice of attaching the good reviews of quality versions of classical works (music and literature) to inexpensive bad versions has got to stop. The harpsichord in this recording is way too loud and the recording quality in general is very bad. The only reason the rating his high is because all of the good ratings have been forwarded from a good recording. Do not buy this!

I love classical music. This was my first experience with Vivaldi, though I am an Itzhak Perlman fan. I liked it very much.
